The Process Engineer will be part of the Process & Proposal department in Sala with the Manager, Process & Proposals being the organizational and disciplinary manger.The Process Engineer will be supporting various Metso teams for Process development, Process performance, Process evaluation and optimization, Process- and Process Equipment commissioning/startup in connection with the global product center for Mineral Processing Equipment and Mining Systems in Sala.Based on the Process Engineer’s experience the successful candidate will be working cross-organizational and will perform duties for different departments and locations, in particular for Process and Proposals, Project Execution, Service/Maintenance and the Laboratory/Test center.The successful candidate will be supporting the global Metso Sales-, Process- and Maintenance teams and act as their interface for Process / Process Equipment related questions with the global product center for Process Equipment in Sala. The Sala product center is globally responsible for Mineral Processing Equipment and Mining Systems.The Process Engineer’s tasks will be highly field orientated. Frequent and intensive global travelling will be required to be a main portion of the assignment.Master degree in Mineral processingExtensive hands-on exposure evaluation of concentrator plant processes including mineral process laboratory work.Previous exposure to plant optimizationPrevious exposure to project controlling or project finance is a plus. The Senior Process Engineer Has excellent knowledge of Mineral processing equipment and Mineral beneficiation processes.Understands requirements for process equipment design and concentrator plants from an operations and process engineering aspect.Reviews and understands expectations from clients and in contracts in terms of process technology, design specifications, economical and legal requirements.Has substantial hands on experience and knowledge regarding Mineral Processing laboratory work, to perform own tests and understand and to write professional test reports and to understand the consequences for equipment selection and performance guaranties.Experienced in reading, fully understanding and reviewing process flow sheets, mass balances, metallurgical balances, P&ID;’s, layout and other technical drawings.Will act as Process Equipment Technical Advisor and will perform all necessary functions to ensure that customer receives the support required. Activities and responsibilities include equipment installation supervision, startup, testing, audits, training, optimization of the equipment settings and ensuring that the contractual test conditions, including these from the client side are maintained until a successful performance protocol can be signed by both parties.
